Hello I’m Diana.. I have learnt a lot in a short space of time, I am a published retoucher.. a HUGE perfectionist, I retouch pixel by pixel. I NEVER use blur, if a blur effect is wanted then I still retouch pixel by pixel to give that effect. I like the control it gives me for the overall image.
I’m very easy to work with and friendly. Many of my clients have also become good friends.

Photo retouching started out as a hobby for me which quickly turned into a passion.. I have retouched for a long time now and retouching has become my second activity (after working as photographer )
, I wouldn’t change it for the world. I love creating beautiful images and showing clients the potential of their work and I look forward to picking up more work through this website and expanding my business with new clients.

Flesh exhibition Coming Soon

Flesh Introduction

A Poem By Anonymous

Oh body, you are a gift of the Supreme.
Potentiality inexhaustible you have, deep within you.
To misunderstand you means to misunderstand
the chosen instrument of God.
You want not, you must not, you cannot conquer
the length and breadth of the world
with your physical strength.
Offer your growing heart
to the hearts far and near.
Offer your glowing soul
to the souls around, below, above. Then alone you become the conqueror
and possessor of God?s entire universe.
O my body, invoke your soul always
for you to lead. Invoke!
Never shall the monotony of the
uneventful life plague you.
With lightning speed yours shall be the ceaseless march . . . upward
to the Highest, inward to the Inmost, forward to the Farthest.
Sing, sing the song of Bliss in Immortality!
Breathe, breathe in the breath of Consciousness in Immortality!
Live, live the life of Existence in Immortality!
Death? Die you must not.
For your death will be a great loss to humanity and by far a greater loss to Divinity.
Fight, O my body, fight with ignorance to the bitterest end.
Never allow ignorance to envelop you, your outer cloak. Your tearing efforts shall be crowned with success.
O body of mine, fare you well for eternity.
May each earthly year of yours have a trillion fulfilling years.
God the Eternal Dreamer is dreaming
through you, with you.
God the Eternal Reality is living
for you, with you and in you.

Diana Castro: Limbo Introduction

The realm of the virtuous pagan dead. Christianity dealt with the problem of those who lived virtuously before the coming of Christ and unbaptized infants by placing these souls in a special part of Hell, called Limbo. Here they suffered no pain, but were excluded from heavenly bliss In the Divina Commedia the poet Dante (1265–1321) is guided through this place by Virgil, a resident himself.

Limbo Poem by Samuel Taylor Coleridge
Tis a strange place, this Limbo!--not a Place,
Yet name it so;--where Time and weary Space
Fettered from flight, with night-mare sense of fleeing,
Strive for their last crepuscular half-being;--
Lank Space, and scytheless Time with branny hands
Barren and soundless as the measuring sands,
Not mark'd by flit of Shades,--unmeaning they
As moonlight on the dial of the day!
But that is lovely--looks like human Time,--
An old man with a steady look sublime,
That stops his earthly task to watch the skies;
But he is blind--a statue hath such eyes;--
Yet having moonward turn'd his face by chance,
Gazes the orb with moon-like countenance,
With scant white hairs, with fore top bald and high,
He gazes still,--his eyeless face all eye;--
As 'twere an organ full of silent sight,
His whole face seemeth to rejoice in light!
Lip touching lip, all moveless, bust and limb--
He seems to gaze at that which seems to gaze on him!
No such sweet sights doth Limbo den immure,
Wall'd round, and made a spirit-jail secure,
By the mere horror of blank Naught-at-all,
Whose circumambience doth these ghosts enthral.
A lurid thought is growthless, dull Privation,
Yet that is but a Purgatory curse;
Hell knows a fear far worse,
A fear--a future state;--'tis positive Negation!

Diana Castro: Dejavu' Introduction

I look at the world from
another side of the window

my heart waiting
with anticipation, struggling
with nightmares.

hour of solitary in meditation

looking to find the next
dimension, the meaning behind
death, before it's too late

our souls binned outside life's prisms,
scraps of past lives before my eyes.
ghost shadow, waiting for me to
find the consequence of our purgatory .

An already lived moment
Already seen
Remembering the future
Somewhere we have already been
A shiver down my spine
A flash of eeriness too
A feeling that you've already lived that moment.
This is just a dejavu'.

Diana Castro: Conflict&Rebirth Introduction

Life revives at the point of art’s rebirth,
Where we dream of painting the infinite.
Dreams are the language which mediates life,
Through life’s endless renewals we offer our dreams,
We pen and paint and sing this born pretense
To lend substance to what is endless air.
We dream of seeing what we are,
Of feeling it in our hands.
We invent the clay we need to sculpt
Ourselves into immortal forms, to populate the void.

The painting which mirrors the map of stars
Reflecting the image our souls have seen
Is the sacrament of our primal myths,
Though our efforts all sum to miniatures,
Scrimshaw scrawled on the fossils of our souls.
Our ambition demands the mirror-quest,
We search through our minds for the sheens we need,
The scene demands all perfections at once,
For the image of life to reflect what life is,
For the sum of the suns to shine on the waves,
Compiling an arch toward the solar key,
Rosetta stone of the night’s lost mystery,
Promising illumination at last, forever -
As the lines tremble and coincide,
We behold the bridge consummated.

We dream the eternal bridge, an eternal cycle crystallized.
Plato called thought a process of remembrance.
All past threshholds of sleep sum the souls which awake,
Our long-sleeping souls which carve lines into shade,
Which the new sun inflames into visions.
But these are the scenes which danced in our eyes
As we last fell asleep.
While we dream we compile a new image-world,
We only dust off the old one.
Waking, we only dust off ourselves.
This is the crystal we dream.

We wake anew, to a sun we’ve never seen,
Whose mystery lends clues of continuity.
We search the dawn’s shadows for traces of night,
And of what we dream we saw
In the dreams we dream we dreamt all night,
In a night we know never was
But we try to pretend into having been.
For if it really passed, and the dreams really danced,
They could have danced to a song from yesterday,
Where we once danced for a different sun,
Whose clues of continuity lend mystery
To this morning’s sun we’ve never seen.

If the light and love of our newest dawns
Were mingled in any of our past nights,
The spangling would range infinite,
Splashing the sky with a million dazzling suns.
The shores of this sky at our islands’ fringe
Would dissolve all bounds of vision and voice,
Assuming all life we could ever know.
The fringe of forever would harmonize
Becoming and being, and we’d finally find peace.

But in art we find only intimations,
Whose frailness belies the dream of peace,
Implies storm and surge and the billowed fears.
But the battering wave is why we live,
To share its ride’s the vast purpose we dream,
And we see that life is not what we paint,
That our art is our souls’ respiration;
That we paint our lives at our breathing pace,
Conjure ourselves from the nothing we were,
Blaze with the light of the life that we are.

The last reincarnation Introduction

Reincarnation, by Wallace McRae

What is reincarnation? A cowboy asked his friend.
It starts, his old pal told him, when your life comes to an end.
They wash your neck and comb your hair and clean your fingernails,
And put you in a padded box away from life’s travails.

The box and you goes in a hole that’s been dug in the ground.
Reincarnation starts in when you’re planted neath that mound.
Them clods melt down, just like the box, and you who is inside.
And that’s when you begin your transformation ride.

And in a while the grass will grow upon your rendered mound,
Until some day, upon that spot, a lonely flower is found.
And then a horse may wander by and graze upon that flower
That once was you, and now has become your vegetated bower.

Now, the flower that the horse done eat, along with his other feed,
Makes bone and fat and muscle essential to the steed.
But there’s a part that he can’t use and so it passes through.
And there it lies upon the ground, this thing that once was you.

And if perchance, I should pass by and see this on the ground,
I’ll stop awhile and ponder at this object that I’ve found.
I’ll think about Reincarnation and life and death and such,
And come away concludin’, why, you ain’t changed all that much.

Only through art can we emerge from ourselves and know what another person sees”
Art knows no prejudice, art knows no boundaries, art doesn't really have judgement in it's purest form. So just go, just go.

Diana Castro: "magic Arts" Artwork

What do i mean by "Magic Arts"? i mean that each human being is actually a divine one since we have a part inside of us that survives death and natural psychic abilties.

Do Magic really exists? We establish the value and the power that people or things have over our minds. Magic Art exists if we believe it does.

those such called "magic arts " are not  really Magic they are just a potential of our minds.

of course i'm not a superstition person, but is evident that there's something in the universe which is much much bigger than us.

The universe communicates with us anytime although we don't even realise it most of the times .

Universe talks to us through signs . So if your lucky symbol is  a butterfly for example and you need an answer the universe will create for you events of syncronicity to give you the answers that you need . and you'll tend to encounter more and more butterflies in your daily life.

The universe can talk to you through the words of another person or even through the phrases a song that is "accidentally" played when you feel particullarly doubtful.

Some might say it's just an illusion or concidence but "coincidence" is another name of The Holy Spirit.

there are thousands of things that we cannot see with our eyes but it does not mean that thay not exist... none of us  can see the waves of the radio, but who can say that radio is an illusion?

i 'm very happy for being born in this wonderful era .

today Wisdom and knowledge are at the hand of everyone. You just establish the way to communicate with the universe. you establish your own luck and destiny.

All the things that we have in our life (both Positive/Negative) are just the results of what we have attracted .

My work "Magic Arts has been considered as Surrealistic Art by many. but i can tell you that i never been so real and accurate. Each image has a specific meaning.

i chose to express myself by using  symbols and icons that probably are not understandable for those who believe only in  Five senses.

The image called  "delivery in waters and lotus " can look weird but.... water is a symbol of birth , rebirth and purification .

Our terrestrial journey resembles a lot to the evolution of a lotus.

The roots of Lotus are planted in the soil of the pond or river bottom, while the leaves float on top of the water surface. the lotus represents  our spiritual evolution.

The Image called  "Leonardo and Monalisa" is very funny and full of imagination.(is whispered that Leonardo attended esoteric groups)

Monalisa was probably an appartion or she was just in his imagination.

how can you justify the way that this brunette woman who is not so attractive obliges you to stare at her  and to leave reality until you are subject to her glance ?

Many people claimed to feel a strange energy coming out from that painting.

besides artistically  that painting is not even Leonardo's best one...

And yet  there 's not price in this world to buy "Monalisa".

My Work "magic arts" is dedicated to all of you who are still able to believe in our natural self-healing power, in our inner Light and Love for The "Unexplainable".

Diana Castro "About Fashion"

1. Always pick a striking avatar!. It must stand out! I browse through hundreds of profiles daily (its fun) and I've discovered that avatars can be first impressions (or last)

2. Pick your target audience Photographers? Wardrobe designers? Makeup Artists? What genres are you interested in? Do you want more paid gigs at this point or just trade shoots? (Write down your expectations  from each collaboration.

3. Ask yourself "how should I represent myself to my target audience?". You, yourself, and just by yourself are a company and corporation. You have profits, losses, and assets. You can outsource your makeup, wardrobe, location, and even ideas. But eventually your success will depend on good management of your own resources.

About presentation: if you want to meet wardrobe designers, pick an avatar which shows off how well you carry yourself, preferably in a complicated outfit. If you're looking for makeup artists, your avatar could be a simple headshot presented as a canvas. You like glamor modeling? Fine. Your avatar has outlines of your body, the curves, and legs! In your portfolio you can go wild.

How to critique anything (replace poem/poet appropriately):

"I thought that some of the metaphysical imagery

            was really particularly effective

            .. and ...

             interesting rhythmic devices too,

which seemed to counterpoint the ...

             counterpoint the surrealism

             of the

             underlying metaphor of the ...

             humanity of the ...

             of the poet's compassionate soul

             which contrives through

the medium of the verse structure

             to sublimate this, transcend that

and come to terms with the

             fundamental dichotomies of the other

and one is left with a

             profound and vivid insight

             into ...

             into ...

Into whatever it was the poem was about!"

              -- Douglas Adams (1952-2001)

Douglas Adams was author of such critically acclaimed books as

             Last Chance to See

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and

The “Chaosville” seen by the “prophet artist” Diana Castro

seven images created by the italian american photograher/Artist Diana Castro.

Chaosville a realistic surrealistic landscape .

"this loss of spirituality is turning the human being into a primitive man. Men don't have any scruple anymore , they do the worst things and also expect that the other side of the world to justify them! when somebody loses his/her spirituality and respect for others becomes like an animal! "  Diana Castro said.

The raw  images are strong and captivating. seven images oil on canvas in which the human figures are grossly hilariously painted : rapes , brawls, orgies are interpretated with an ironic bitterness in contrast with the beauty of a perfect oil on canvas landscape.

So then the modern man is destroying  this  world?

Diana Castro"Art Works" Cocoons,Chrysalids&butterflies"

Cocoons,Chrysalids&Butterflies

Spring was coming up

........then a ray of light
smiled at me , it warmed me up.
It lifted me up to the sky
and i saw the blue again.
I caressed the gems
ready to blossom
i drank the dew
it quenched my thirst
and bathed my garden.
The butterflies landed on the corollas.
Spring was coming up

Giuseppina Mira Poem.

Sometimes although we do not know the reasons we withdraw in ourselves .
Suddenly something occurs which it is worth turning into chrysalids and then in butterflies..
then you find out the reason why it takes dying to experience resurrection.
and like a butterfly that knows what being a larva (coccon) means you first turn into a chrysalid and then into a butterfly.
and like a butterfly open up your wings to fly over
to be blessed by beauty and peace.
